My research sits where physics meets industrial machine learning: models that learn from plant data without ignoring the process that produced it. It started in physics, with cosmology and X-ray imaging, and now focuses on physics-informed models for heavy industry.

Impact of Applying Artificial Intelligence Techniques in Risk-Based Inspection for Equipment in Oil Refining Units · ROG.e 2026, Rio de Janeiro
Full paper, approved in four review rounds and presented in a technical session on September 24; I am a co-author and the presenter. It keeps the API 580/581 risk-based inspection of static equipment up to date from process, inspection and laboratory data, with NLP on inspection reports, tree ensembles and recurrent networks, piloted on the overhead system of a crude distillation unit. Validated by the UTFPR graduate program toward the M.Sc.

Scientific initiation advised by Prof. Thiago S. Pereira: expansion of the universe with the Friedmann equations and formation of large-scale structure through Jeans fluid theory, with numerical simulations in SciPy. Presented at the I Workshop de Astronomia e Astrofísica do Paraná in August 2022.

X-ray microtomography of bulk-fill dental resins · UEL
Scientific initiation (PROIC, 486 hours) in applied nuclear physics, advised by Prof. Dr. Eduardo Inocente Jussiani, within a project on the physico-mechanical properties of bulk-fill composite resins: X-ray micro-computed tomography and 3D image reconstruction to measure their shrinkage, porosity and adaptation in dental cavities.
